Seagirt's Arts and Sciences Competition

Each competitor will present two (2) projects. One project may be ‘in-progress,’ but points may be deducted.

One of the projects MAY be a research paper (but does not have to be). Research papers are due two weeks before the event (February 23rd). 2500 words maximum, not including pictures/graphs, etc.

One of your projects MUST be categorized as an Art, and one MUST be a Science - it is up to each competitor to decide which is which, and to explain to the judges why it is so. This does not mean that you have to do something stereotypically ‘artsy’ or ‘sciencey’ - maybe you explain that your sewn garment is about the technical aspect of measurements and math, or that your alchemy project is more about the art of creating it than the astrology and science behind it. Feel free to be creative in your interpretations! If you’re having trouble with this, don’t let it keep you from competing - talk to Lady Runa or Their Excellencies, and we’ll see if we can help.

Documentation is due at the event, but it would be appreciated if it was emailed in beforehand. It is limited to 10 pages (not including pictures, etc.). Please bring 3 copies to the event.

Please declare your intentions to compete by sending an email to the Baron and Baroness (Seagirt.Baron@tirrigh.org, Seagirt.Baroness@tirrigh.org), the Arts and Sciences Minister (Seagirt.ArtsnSci@tirrigh.org), and our Arts & Sciences Champion (isabelladafirenze@gmail.com) by February 23rd.
