The Gallant's Trials
Marshalate
Each candidate must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the An Tir Book of Combat
(Rapier Combat) as it relates to the rules of engagement and marshalling. Warranted Senior Rapier Marshals may waive this trial.
Weapons Skills
Candidates shall demonstrate their ability to safely fight with all weapons styles, single sword, sword and buckler, sword and soft parry object, sword and rigid parry object, sword and dagger, case of rapiers, as well as use of an rbg.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate an ability to instruct on the basics of:
- Single weapon
- Single weapon and parrying device
- Double weapon
and to have a firm understanding of each type of weapon and its design.
