The SCA utilizes a merit-based recognition system of awards that functions on several levels.
Lords and Ladies may recieve an award from the Kingdom of Antir, the Principality of Tir Righ, or the Barony of Seagirt.

The Barony of Seagirt Awards

The Rock

This is an award for service, It is given at their Excellencies pleasure to those gentles who have performed outstanding service to the barony. The Insignia is: A small bag containing a stone; The stone is chosen by Their Excellencies with consideration of the attributes of each particular recipient. Institued by: Baron Sir William mac Brennan and Voevoda Nadezdha Toranova.

The Silent Hammer

This award is presented for unheralded achievement in the Sciences. The Insignia is: a small hammer. It pre-dates Seagirt's elevation to Barony.

The Silent Harp

This award is presented for unheralded achievement in the Arts. The Insignia is: an unstrung harp (hence, silenced) It pre-dates Seagirt's elevation to Barony.

The Torch and Key

This award is given to those members of the populace who go out of their way to help newcomers. The Insignia is: a Torch headed key Instituted by: Baron Ming Lum Pee and Baroness Elina Karsdottir

The Spirit of Violante

In loving memory of Sergeant Myrranda de Medici who lived to dance. This award is given for excellence in dance, for example, teaching, performance ability or attending demos. The insignia is: a Dragonfly Instituted by: Barwn James Llewellyn ap Gruffydd and Barwnes Tangwystl verch Glyn.

The Beacon of Insula Magna

This award is presented to individuals who exemplified the ideals of the combined Insula Magna branches on the island. It is a consulting order, and candidates names are presented to the Baron and Baroness for consideration. The insignia is: a blue arm sash with red fringe and a signal beacon. Instituted by: Barwn James Llewellyn ap Gruffydd and Barwnes Tangwystl verch Glyn.

The Order of the Bear

This order is for the adolescent gentles in Seagirt.
Members are selected by recommendation to Their Excellencies.
There are three categories.

The Silver Bear is for Arts & Sciences,
The Golden Bear is for service,
The Black Bear is for martial prowess and skill.

The insignia of the Order is: a necklace with a bear of the appropriate colour. Instituted by: Baron Sir William mac Brennan and Voevoda Nadezdha Toranova

The Order of the Narwhal

This award is to commend and recognize warriors for their skill, honour, armouring and teaching. Members are selected by recommendation to the Baron and Baroness. The insignia is: a Narwhal's horn bound with gold wire. Instituted by: Thegn Uilliam mac Ailleacuten vhic Seacuteamus and Baronossa Theocharista Irena Diaconia

The Order of the Seagull

This is Seagirt's award for service in depth over a long period of time. It is a consulting order, and candidates names are presented to the Baron and Baroness for consideration. The insignia of the Order is: a seagull volant, most commonly in the form of a pewter token. It pre-dates Seagirt's elevation to Barony.

The Order of the Sea Otter

This is a children's award for service, Members are selected by recommendation to the Baron and Baroness. The insignia of the Order is: a small badge with a sea otter on a blue background. Insistitued by: Thegn Uilliam mac Ailleacuten vhic Seacuteamus and Baronossa Theocharista Irena Diaconia.

The ORCA (closed order)

This award was presented at Their Excellencies' pleasure to households, guilds or individual gentles for service to the barony. The insignia is: a small pewter orca painted black and white. instituted by Thegn Uilliam mac Ailleacuten vhic Seacuteamus and Baronossa Theocharista Irena Diaconia. This award became closed when Uilliam and Theocharista stepped down as ruling Baron and Baroness of Seagirt
